January 9, 2025 (Fairfax, VA)- The Community Foundation for Northern Virginia’s Business Women’s Giving Circle announced five grants to organizations serving the region’s young women and girls in STEM, Leadership, Entrepreneurship, and Mentorship Programs. To date, BWGC has awarded more than $595,000 in grants that have impacted the lives of over 3,600 young people.

Paul brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to community service, having made significant contributions to the environmental, historical, and economic success of Northern Virginia.

Fairfax, VA (November 26, 2024) – This Giving Tuesday, your generosity can go twice as far in strengthening Northern Virginia, thanks to a dollar-for-dollar match. A generous anonymous donor has donated a $10,000 matching gift to the Community Foundation for Northern Virginia, meaning your donations will be doubled. For example, your gift of $50 will become $100, gifts of $100 will turn into $200 and so on, until the $10,000 matching gift is fully met, doubling the total to $20,000.

Fairfax, VA (October 24, 2024) – The Community Foundation for Northern Virginia’s 2024 Raise the Region Gala, held on October 18, gathered hundreds of supporters to celebrate the power of local philanthropy. The evening featured a silent auction, a dinner program, and a live auction led by Antiques Roadshow’s Matt Quinn of Quinn’s Auction Galleries. This year’s gala emphasized the transformative impact of charitable giving in the region.

Fairfax, VA (September 24, 2024) – The 2024 Raise the Region Gala, hosted by the Community Foundation for Northern Virginia, is scheduled for Friday, October 18 at the McLean Hilton in Tysons Corner. This substantial financial support encapsulates the 35 Community Foundation scholarship funds launched by individual donors over the years wishing to make a difference for students in Northern Virginia and beyond. These efforts reflect the Foundation’s commitment to fostering educational opportunities and supportive legacies throughout the region.
